Chemicycle – the process

A Framework to Proceed:
We feel the best way to proceed is to provide everyone with the framework of the ChemiCycle program and process. This process is designed to provide each inquiry with a framework to determine whether the solution may be a fit for your initiative. To help in the assessment, ChemiCycle has created a simple validation process to ensure the process is a good fit.

Outlined below is the step-by-step engagement process:

We schedule a call: Please contact us on through our contact form and we will do our best to send you a meeting invitation at your suggested times. The process can combine virtually all different types of plastics. Prior to the meeting, please provide us with your thoughts on what your goals are.

First meeting: The goal of the meeting is to better understand what you are recycling and your repurposing goals. From this first meeting, we will create a potential business model that would be financially viable for your desired purpose - as we all know if the numbers don’t work the project will fail. It is our goal to find a way to build a licensing model that works for your initiative.

Testing: We will test a sample of the plastics in our lab that you intend to combine, to ensure the required adhesion is achieved and determine the correct material mix, temperature, and processing speeds to ensure successful integration of the solution into your process. There is a small fee to cover the costs associated with the testing process as samples are created and then delivered to you.

Design: As each project is uniquely different, the way in which our mix is used can vary greatly. The engineering and design process is collaborative, and an ongoing focus is placed on the business model to ensure success.

Licensing: Each engagement is usually unique and for this reason, therefore there is no rigid contractual licensing structure. To ensure your success, each licensing agreement will be tailored to fit your unique needs.

Agreement: Once a business plan, design, engineering, and a licensing agreement has been reached and found to be viable, ChemiCycle will formalise the agreement with your organisation, and in turn will continue to provide ongoing support to ensure long-term success.

If you find this process acceptable, please let us know. We look forward to collaborating with you in order to end plastic waste and move us one step closer to a circular economy.
